Festive Sextet

It’s time for our Christmas Party night! This is always a fun night and I’m delighted to say that we have the same fabulous line up as Christmas 2023. The core house band – Sue McHugh (vocals), Jimmy Taylor (bass) and Dave Swanson (drums) – will be joined by three wonderful guests: Colin Steele has been guesting on our Christmas gigs since pre covid and it just wouldn’t be the same without him! For anyone not in the know, Colin is one of our top trumpet players in Scotland and is certainly the busiest and any gig he plays on is immediately better! And there isn’t anything to say about Brian Kellock (piano) that hasn’t already been said, simply our finest jazz pianist and we are so lucky he is available for this. And lastly, but definitely not least, we have the excellent singer Iain Ewing joining us to complete the band. Like Brian, Iain has joined us for our last 2 Christmases and always brings a fun element to the night. Six great musicians, wonderful tunes and perhaps a few Christmas surprises – what are you waiting for?
