Military historian and battlefield archaeologist Dr Jon Cooper presents a fascinating talk exploring the conflict surrounding the Battle of Linlithgow Bridge (1526). Titled “The Survivors’ Guide to the Battle of Linlithgow Bridge”, the lecture will take audiences back to early 16th-century Scotland, examining what it was like to live through the years of conflict during this turbulent period of Scottish history. Drawing on historical research and battlefield archaeology, Dr Cooper will bring the story of the battle and its wider context to life.
