A batch of new high street banners have been installed in the centre of Linlithgow to add to the banner locations on the way into the town.
The banner themes are an increase of the banners that were also re-designed. This part of a marketing strategy for the town to welcome visitors. The banners were funded by the One Linlithgow business improvement district.



The 500th Anniversary of the Battle of Linlithgow Bridge has also been featured on six of the new street banners. These banners were funded by the Linlithgow Burgh Trust. The local primary schools also had the opportunity to design one banner with heraldic shields. Their banner is located in front of the Court Residence at the Cross.


The common theme on the rest of the Linlithgow street banners is specifically to promote the town’s domain name – Linlithgow.co.uk. The website contains details of Events, all businesses, News, Attractions, Film Locations, Walks and the Webcam at the Cross.
Promotion of Linlithgow

The banner marketing messages are repeated to direct people to the website for a range of local information. The website is controlled locally by One Linlithgow, the town’s business improvement district, representing around 175 businesses large and small.
Furthermore, all content is generated locally and linked to the related social media channels by a real person. She visits businesses every week to find out what they are doing and this gets posted on social media in the same week.
