To celebrate, they’re holding a special Open Day on Friday 23rd May 2025 at their business on 61 High Street, Linlithgow, EH49 7ED. Visitors will be able to browse the latest collections from ProDesign:Denmark and Woow Eyewear. These are two of the practices most popular brands. Expert advice will be available on the day from brand representative Gavin Cornelius. Everyone is welcome to pop along and enjoy a chat, eyewear advice and even a glass of fizz.
Business history
The local practice first opened its doors in April 2001 since then it has built a strong reputation for personal service, a professional team and fashionable frame collections. This year, they’ve achieved their best first quarter to date, a clear sign of their ongoing success and string community support.
Linlithgow optician founder, Robert Callander, opened the practice after training and working in some of Scotland’s top optical practices, including in Glasgow, Edinburgh and Dumfries. He also spent time on the supply side with a German spectacle maker. This giving him valuable insight into lens design and quality.
The team of Linlithgow optician has worked together since 2007 and continue to grow in both experience and service quality. Alongside the celebrations, the practice has also invested in new clinical equipment. This includes a Henson 9000 Visual Field Screener and a wide field EIDON retinal camera (currently on order). These upgrades help ensure eye tests and high quality prescription lenses.
